Ray Smith, Chief Executive Officer
Ray Smith is a seasoned transportation and logistics executive with a 16-year track record of running successful logistics companies and driving growth. Ray previously served as CEO of Fritz Companies, a global third party logistics company with over $1.6 billion in revenue, operating in 115 countries. Before joining Fritz Companies, Ray was president and CEO of U.S. Fleet Leasing, where he led a transportation services business with $2 Billion in assets to grow at an aggregate rate of 27%. Ray also served as COO for Matson Navigation Company. He has also held various marketing and financial management roles with GE Capital and is a graduate of GE’s financial management program. Ray holds an M.B.A. from Emory University and a B.A. from the University of Nebraska.

Rob Howard, Vice President, Client Services
Rob Howard is the co-founder of Ensenda and brings a unique blend of logistics expertise and retail industry knowledge to his role. Prior to Ensenda, Rob held management positions in USWeb/CKS's strategy practice, where he led business development efforts and guided top retailers in building new revenue channels. Previously, Rob handled strategic planning for Dispatch Management Services, a leading national same day delivery company. At Dispatch Management Services, Rob designed and implemented a highly successful mergers and acquisitions strategy. Rob serves on the Board of Directors for the Messenger Courier Association of America, and is on the Editorial Board for Messenger Courier World Magazine. He was named by Chain Store Age as one of retail's "Top 40 Under 40" leaders in 2002. Rob holds a B.S. from Virginia Tech and an M.B.A. from Yale University .

Tony Stone, Chief Technology Officer
Tony Stone is a veteran technologist with over 25 years of experience in both software product companies and IT organizations. Most recently Tony served as managing consultant and Interim CTO at Ownit Mortgage Solutions, a medium sized mortgage lender, where he directed IT Operations and oversaw the strategic software development initiatives. Prior to this he was Founder and CTO of Perspective Software Technologies, which provided strategic technology direction, management, and software development to clients. Earlier, Tony was a key member of the team at Brightware that brought an award-winning CRM product to market. In addition, he held senior leadership roles at Robertson, Stephens & Co, Sybase, Liz Claiborne, and ISC Systems Corporations. Tony received his educational training at San Francisco State University and Control Data Institute.

Steve Janis , Vice President, Sales
As Vice President of Sales, Mr. Janis leverages his 21 years of solution selling and Sales Management experience to lead the Ensenda sales team. Steve's background in providing technology solutions for manufacturers, industrial distributors and retailers has given him a broad range of abilities and experience in finding ways to use technology to lower costs and improve operating efficiencies. Mr Janis has the unique distinction of having played a crucial roll in all of the companies key account signings. Prior to Ensenda, Steve was Vice President of Business Development at Planalytics and Director of Sales at Sterling Commerce's E-Commerce Division. Before sales management, Steve held a variety of leading sales roles at top companies selling in many vertical markets, giving him the unique ability to listen, advise and build solutions for a broad range of customers. He has primarily specialized in selling Enterprise software solutions that streamline operations and lower costs. Steve earned his degree in Business Logistics from the Pennsylvania State University in 1986.

Bob Bertz, Vice President, Finance
Bob Bertz is a seasoned finance and accounting professional with over 20 years of experience. Prior to joining Ensenda Bob was Vice President of Finance and Controller for ServiceSource Inc., a medium-size private company that provides outsourcing sales and technical support, where he successfully rebuilt the accounting and reporting function during a period of turbulent growth. Bob has also been the Controller for Cost Plus World Market, a billion dollar public retailer, and PeoplePC, an internet start-up company where he led a successful IPO. Bob also spent several years in various capacities with Bank of America after beginning his career in public accounting, working for Deloitte & Touche and Kenneth Leventhal & Co. He has a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas and holds a Texas CPA license.

Chris Miller, Vice President, Carrier Services
Chris Miller is an experienced logistics professional with 20 years of expertise in operations management and supply chain strategy. He was recently Vice President of Bluefin Global Logistics where he led the growth of the division and oversaw all its operational, sales and strategic activities. Prior to Bluefin, Chris was Senior Director, Logistics at Kyocera Wireless where he managed supply chain operations including logistics, order management, planning and distribution. He began his career at Airborne Express where he led international express operations, and also managed various sales and operations organizations. Chris has a BA from UCLA and an MBA from the University of San Diego.

Michael Kennedy, Director, Program Design
Michael Kennedy is a 15-year veteran of the last mile logistics industry. As Director of Program Design for Ensenda, he works with the carrier management team to create logistics service plans and to deliver the highest standards of quality for Ensenda's customers. Before joining Ensenda, Mike worked as a consultant providing business development and software migration strategies to the courier industry. He also served as area vice president for Corporate Express Delivery Systems, where he optimized the company's distribution and logistics operations, taking it to profitability in less than a year. Previously, he was vice president of business development for Priority Transportation, Northern California's leading provider of same day courier service and critical parts storage and distribution. Mike received his B.S. from the Dublin Institute of Technology.

Vianna Quock, Director, Product Management
Vianna Quock has over 16 years of applications experience in the software industry. As Director of Product Management for Ensenda, she is responsible for overall product positioning and strategy for Ensenda solutions in the marketplace. Before joining Ensenda, Vianna led the product management effort to design and develop various e-commerce applications at LRN Corp., Commerce One Inc. and Elance Inc. She started her career at Oracle Corp. in software globalization, and subsequently, served as the Vice President of Globalization Services for Uniscape Inc. Vianna has a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley.

Brandon Mah, Director, Customer Operations
Brandon Mah has a background in Operations and Transportation Logistics and is a subject matter expert on front line operational processes, quality management and operations planning.   Brandon worked as an operations manager with Airborne Express prior to the DHL/Airborne Express merger in 2004 and has had several various roles in operations management, industrial engineering and project/program management. He was selected to deploy a national program of standardization designed to improve quality and productivity.  Brandon has lived and studied abroad in Tokyo, Japan at Waseda University and holds a B.S. in International Business Finance with a minor in Japanese Language from San Francisco State University .  He also holds the quality management certification of Six Sigma Black Belt.
