We started Ensenda 10 years ago to provide shippers with access to great local delivery companies in every city in the US and Canada. These are trucking and delivery companies that are owned by true local entrepreneurs who work hard every day to provide local delivery services. Ensenda uses a proprietary technology to create and connect a network of the very best of these local delivery companies.
Shippers started to use Ensenda because they had local delivery needs and our standardized technology platform allowed them to offer consistent service in every market. Tracking, customer support and carrier management all are difficult for individual shippers to manage when working directly with different local carriers in every market.
What’s emerging today is something revolutionary, a viable alternative for companies to use instead of owning their own fleets or using common carriers like UPS and FedEx. We can offer delivery seven days a week, we can do same-day, we can do scheduled delivery of large items with two man teams – and we can do it all at rates that are competitive with traditional carriers. You might not get the same branded vehicles and you won’t see ads on television about Ensenda, but we’re re-inventing the delivery infrastructure out there.
Companies use Ensenda as an alternative to using other common carriers like UPS, FedEx and the US Postal Service. Through Ensenda, companies are able to offer delivery 7 days a week (yes, even on Sunday). Ensenda carriers also allow for later cut-off times, increasing the number of packages that can be delivered next day.
The common carriers have set cut-off times that limit the ability of shippers to get products to customers the next day if they are ordering late in the day. The common carriers also have very limited delivery services available on weekends.
Over the years, a wide range of shippers started shifting volume to Ensenda to get better rates and to get access to innovative delivery services like same-day delivery and delivery seven days a week. We deliver office supplies, electronics, furniture, pharmaceuticals, auto parts and everything in between.
Companies in the Ensenda delivery network hire hundreds of drivers from local communities to provide delivery services for our customers every year. Our drivers are professional and efficient but we realize that there may be challenges from time to time. We are passionate about customer satisfaction so please let us know if you have a poor delivery experience so that we can work right away to improve our processes. If you had a good experience or a compliment and would like to let us know, we love to hear about those too!
The companies that Ensenda partners with are different in every market. Vehicles are marked with the branding of the local carrier and are not labeled as Ensenda. On some routes and during heavy volume periods, Ensenda carriers use independent contractors that may be driving their own personal vehicles to perform deliveries.
We deliver thousands of shipments everyday and Ensenda’s on-time percentage and damage rates are very good. However, our brand name is not well known to customers and the unfamiliar vehicles and uniforms mean that it will take time to build awareness and trust with customers. Please let us know if you have a poor experience so that we can work to resolve it right away. Or, if you’ve had a good experience please let us and the entire community know!
